How Voice Actor Rob Paulsen’s Characters Have Changed Lives

Growing up with so many of Rob Paulsen’s projects made me all the more excited to hear that he had recently released a book, Voice Lessons: How a Couple of Ninja Turtles, Pinky, and an Animaniac Saved My Life. The book is a fascinating window into Paulsen’s life, from his early career as a voice actor to his struggles with throat cancer and beyond. After reading the book, it feels as though you really understand this talented voice actor and the journey he’s been through. I had the pleasure of hosting a long discussion with Paulsen, where we dove deep into the idea that a voice can truly connect you to a character.

5 Reasons CES 2020 Was Unforgettable

To be honest, I wish I had a GoPro strapped on my back the entire time simply to chronicle everything I did throughout the week. Well, since I neglected to do that, here’s just a few highlights from yet another incredible CES.

The Fall of Super Bowl Commercials: What Happened?

In the past few years, something seems different about the hype and execution of Super Bowl ads. This can be best explained through the height of journalism: the “Top 10” list. Last year, USA Today posted an article chronicling the greatest Super Bowl commercials of the 2010s. And, strangely enough, only one came out after the year 2012.

Why Olympic Gold Medalist Angela Ruggiero is Wary of Wearables

One of our favorite interviews at CES this year was with four-time Olympic medalist Angela Ruggiero, the CEO and co-founder of the market research firm Sports Innovation Lab. As a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame, Ruggiero knows a thing or two about conditioning, explaining her personal views on fitness tech, specifically wearables, during our conversation.

Jason Latimer’s Most Scientific Magic Trick

Impossible Science curator Jason Latimer has a deep passion for magic and science like, combining them in his live performances to great effect. In this exclusive snippet from our interview, Latimer explains the trick he believes has the most scientific relevance.

What’s It Like to Animate For Pixar?

Hot off the release of The Incredibles 2 last year, we had the opportunity to speak with Pixar animator Kureha Yokoo, who had worked with the studio since the release of A Bug’s Life over twenty years ago. In this exclusive snippet, Yokoo reveals the culture of Pixar in her early days with the studio.

Is the “Madden Curse” Real?

Is the Madden Curse actually real? Here’s a look at some of the ways the “Madden Curse” may or may not have affected various NFL pros.

Dr. Mario World: Just What the Doctor Ordered

While Super Mario Run wasn’t an entirely smooth ride, a relaxed puzzle game like Dr. Mario fits ideally in the palm of your hand, which gives me plenty of hope for Nintendo games on non-Nintendo consoles in the future.
