Growing up with so many of Rob Paulsen’s projects made me all the more excited to hear that he had recently released a book, Voice Lessons: How a Couple of Ninja Turtles, Pinky, and an Animaniac Saved My Life. The book is a fascinating window into Paulsen’s life, from his early career as a voice actor to his struggles with throat cancer and beyond. After reading the book, it feels as though you really understand this talented voice actor and the journey he’s been through. I had the pleasure of hosting a long discussion with Paulsen, where we dove deep into the idea that a voice can truly connect you to a character.
