The development of the automated vehicle has progressed rapidly, changing the conversation and attitude around mobility. What can city officials do today to prepare for the way that their transportation systems will function in the near future? Emerging technology takes the Advanced Driver-Assist Systems from collision prevention to a new level of data collection. Converting existing assets at a very low-cost into data generating agents has the ability to empower the management of municipal assets to a whole new scale. In this panel, we discuss how to take and leverage the data from the ADAS sensor to the smart city, including real-life cases and practical operations.
