September 12th is here, and the September Apple event is hours away. All eyes are on Apple to deliver the latest installment in the iPhone and Apple Watch line. The event kicks off tomorrow at 10 am PT/ 1pm ET and will be live streamed on Twitter for the first time. Here’s what to expect:
iPhones
Three new iPhones are rumored to be unveiled, including the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone 9 or iPhone XC. All three iPhones are supposed to have the notch design seen in the original iPhone X.
The iPhone XS resembles the iPhoneX, the closest out of all three of the new iPhones. It maintains the same 5.8-inch OLED and will have Apple’s new A12 bionic processor. The iPhone XS Max will have the most screen real estate seen on an iPhone, featuring a 6.5-inch OLED screen.
The iPhone 9/iPhone XC is supposed to be a more budget friendly version of the iPhone X line. The iPhone XC will feature a 6.1-inch LCD screen and will be available in 6 different colors. This is essentially the iPhone 5C of the iPhone X line.
Apple Watch Series 4
The new Apple watch is rumored to have a 15% larger screen, bigger battery, possible sleep tracker app, and electrocardiogram (EKG) technology. According to 9to5mac, the watch will also have a bezel-less display. The EKG reader, developed by AliveCor, will be the first medical device accessory for Apple Watch. The EKG reader can detect abnormal heart rhythm and atrial fibrillation. The EKG recordings can also be sent to a doctor.
iPad Pro
The Apple Watch Series 4 is not the only item getting its bezels chopped off. Renders of the new iPad shows that its will feature a near bezel-less display. Apple also seems to be ditching the home buttons, most likely implementing the same swipe commands seen in the iPhone X.
There is a look forward to leading up t o the 2018 September Apple Event. You can watch the event on Apple’s website at apple.com/apple-events/september-2018. You can also watch the live-stream on Apple’s twitter.
