5 Fascinating Current Crowdfunding Projects

Crowdfunding has allowed for some amazing innovations to be created, from the Pebble smartwatch to the popular Exploding Kittens card game to that guy that held a potato salad festival. Well, today we’re going to take a look at some current crowdfunding projects you should definitely be keeping your eyes on. From mafia board games to booze-friendly pills, let’s check out the projects worth taking a look at.

GPD Win 2

As a fan of handheld gaming from the classic Game Boy to the DS line and now the Switch, this project immediately got my attention. Featuring the ability to play major titles and run Windows 10, the GPD Win 2 looks to revolutionize gaming on the go. And, since it’s already been funded, it doesn’t need anything else written about it. No more free publicity here, GPD 2.

Sitpack Zen X

OK, this one initially caught my eye because it looked a little bit silly at first. But, to be honest, I really just want to try it out. Calling itself the “world’s most compact chair,” the Sitpack Zen X (which is way too cool of a name for a chair in my honest opinion) looks to combine portability and positive posture into one compact device, making standing a thing of the past. FINALLY!

Tabooze Event Box

If you are under the age of 21, I am legally required to tell you not to read the rest of this paragraph. At least I think I am. Anyways, let’s talk about booze. Available now on Indiegogo, the Tabooze Event Box will eliminate the need for mixers in your liquor cabinet, giving you a zero-calorie tablet that you can take to parties. And, if you’re reading this, makers of Tabooze Event Box, please send me a sample of the Tabooze Event Box and I will gladly keep boosting awareness of the Tabooze Event Box. Tabooze Event Box.

The Godfather: A New Don

It’s a board game. Based on The Godfather. Need I say more? Fine, I’ll talk a bit more about it. The game, which is currently available on Indiegogo, allows you to control of a mafia family and take over New York in the 1950s. Sounds like an ideal family game night to me.

NESmaker

And, finally, a crowdfunding project that fascinates me both as a Nintendo enthusiast and person that’s too lazy to learn how to code: the NESmaker. The software, which allows you to program your own games for the Nintendo Entertainment System coding-free, looks to bring accessibility to the complex world of game development. Once I obtain a copy, I can finally design Anthony Elio: The Game, an adventure RPG in which you struggle to get out of bed, increase your cholesterol, and ignore all valid criticisms of your character and lifestyle.
