SpaceX’s Starship Is Ready to Launch 

On Sept. 5, Elon Musk announced that the Starship rocket with SpaceX is ready to launch and awaiting FAA license approval. After the initial launch attempt failed this April, the FFA is now required SpaceX to submit a final report about the project’s investigations. In an exclusive email to Insider, the FFA states, “(They) will not authorize another Starship launch until SpaceX implements the corrective actions identified during the mishap investigation.” 

Once FFA approves of the launch, it marks a crucial step toward making space travel more accessible and affordable. The reusable spaceship is designed to carry humans to Mars and beyond, potentially revolutionizing the future of interplanetary exploration.

Google Releases Teaser For New Tech

Google made waves in the tech world by releasing a new teaser on Sept. 7. The new video, titled “The W8 is Almost Over,” was published across all major social channels and gives tech lovers a sneak peek at the Pixel 8 and Pixel Watch 2’s chic looks. In addition to the appearance of the products, Google also shared some essential features of the new tech such as temperature sensors and a 5x telephoto lens for the Pixel 8 and performance boost values for the Pixel Watch 2. It’s expected that these products will be available for pre-order on Oct. 4. 

Tesla Announces Major Software Update 

Tesla continues to push the boundaries of autonomous driving technology. The company announced a major software update that promises to bring fully self-driving capabilities to its vehicles. Some of the features included in this update include automatic headlights, a blind spot camera, Bluetooth game controllers, a camera view on the Tesla app, a range display, and more. While regulatory hurdles remain, this development raises questions about the future of transportation and the potential for safer and more efficient roadways.

Snapchat Adds New Safety Features

The parent company of Snapchat, Snap, announced on Sept. 7 new policies and features that will directly protect users from 13 to 17 years old. With this new update, the app will ensure optimal safety from harmful and inappropriate friend suggestions and continually block improper content from its system. These changes for Snapchat have been long expected since the fall 2021 Senate committee hearing when the platform’s executive promised new implementations to protect minors.
