SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) — In the high-desert light of Santa Fe, the Dent Conference convened artists, entrepreneurs, technologists, and thinkers to push boundaries and spark lasting connections at La Fonda on The Plaza. What began in 2012 as a quest to understand how to “put a dent in the universe” now serves as the annual gathering for those doing the hard, often lonely work of impact. As co-founder Jason Preston said, “The conference today is a focal point for a year-round community … who find fuel each year from each other at Dent.”

This year’s sessions ranged from lock-picking workshops with Alethe Denis and Steve Broback to LEGO Serious Play led by Gary Ware to an AI startup showcase, blending hands-on creativity with deep tech. Speakers included Cat Bohannon, Greg Lukianoff, Sheila Lirio Marcelo, Frans Lanting, Pamela Prather, Ryan Singer and Brad Younggren, each bringing perspectives that span narrative, expression, innovation and science. But it wasn’t all just tech, as there is a real slant towards the humanity behind tech, and of course art and music which brings that humanity together.

Imagine an environment with interactive sessions mixed with great presentations that feel like TED Talks. Meanwhile, you get to hang out while getting to know those speakers and influencers over amazing cuisines and drinks all around the town. Against Santa Fe’s adobe architecture and storied skies, Dent staged talks and curated an immersive environment where ideas collide, rewire, and launch. Attendees left inspired, equipped to return home and make real dents in the universe, and some friends for life.

Make sure you find out how you could be a part of Dent in 2026. Give them a follow on LinkedIn and IG to see the many unique Dent gatherings around the country and get involved in the conversation with one of the most extraordinary tech events ever.
