Hope; or more to the point — something positive to look forward to with their new interactive calendar platform called “Year in Preview.” The new software offers a refreshing look forward into 2023, as opposed to the look back on 2022.
Why not look forward to what the year “can be” says Yeti CMO Paulie Dery:
“When you start a year, you’re full of hope, like, ‘This is the year I learn how to snowboard,’ or, ‘This year, I’m definitely going to go to the World Surf League,’ but you forget about it, and [your hopes] fall away. The calendar is a nice way to keep those on your mind.”
The platform is easy to use, great looking, and doesn’t bog you down with too many questions — just enough to get you pumped for what you like to do. It asks fans to take a short quiz, populating video results that showcase which outdoor community/activity they align most with.
Once they receive their results, they will have the opportunity to add events and moments happening within that community in 2023 to their devices calendar. In total, there are 135 calendar moments and over 630 unique video combinations to choose from.
Dery says the calendar can be “that friend” who helps push you out of your comfort zone. “The wild” is obviously a physical space: the outdoors. But “the wild” is also testing yourself and pushing yourself into places that you might not have been comfortable with.
Creating a calendar that lets you push yourself and set goals — we think it’s a great way to show that [2023] is going to be a wild year.
