Smartwatches

When browsing through the latest models on sites like Buy Mobiles, you’ll notice that there are more and more wearable smart phones. Smartwatches have become increasingly popular because they allow users to check the time, check their messages and make calls on the same lightweight and device.

In 2020, we’re also seeing smartwatches evolving and including a number of sophisticated features. The Apple Watch 5 and the Samsung Galaxy 3 both have inbuilt electrocardiograms that warn the wearer they may be developing a heart complication.

This feature can also test the users’ pulses to identify panic and send alerts to family members or medical help.

Many smartwatches now also have features that allow the user to track health goals such as fitness activity and calorie intake. Other common futures of smartwatches in 2020 include GPS location that helps you find your way and improves navigation.

Fitness Trackers

Fitness trackers are not exactly new, but these devices are certainly reaching new heights in 2020. With our sedentary lifestyles and increasing concerns about the impact of this kind of lifestyle on our health, fitness trackers are a useful way to track our activity and encourage us to get more vital exercise.

In 2020, fitness trackers do much more than just count our steps and calorie consumption or remind us to exercise. Modern fitness trackers monitor our health signs and report back so we can learn more about our health and wellbeing. Today’s fitness trackers even track our health when we’re sleeping, to make sure we get an all-round picture of your health and make sure you get quality sleep.

Hearables

Hearables are part of the latest generations of wearable devices. These are indispensible tools for people with hearing problems how may struggle to hear normal conversations and other sounds.

There are a range of hearable devices, smart devices that provide sound for a variety of purposes. These can be devices like true wireless headphones packed with smart features such as assistive hearing.

Another example are intelligent bike helmets that allow cyclists to listen to music or even catch up on work during their commute, assisted with smart features such as built-in GPS.

Hearables also include cutting-edge technology that replaces the traditional hearing aid: hearables are worn in the ear canal similar to old-style hearing aids, but uses the latest technology to deliver a number of benefits of advantages to the wearer.

Among the advantages of hearables over traditional hearing aids is that they can help to amplify conversations held at normal pitch range over competing background noise. This means that the wearer can hear the sounds they want to hear, while blocking out unwanted sounds.

Smart Rings

Smart watches are a convenient and portable way to keep track and keep in touch, but what if you’re looking for something even more discreet? If so, a smart ring may be just what you’re looking for. This new trend allows you to quickly check your notifications in a meeting discreetly, with a quick glance at your ring.

Smart rings technology has actual been around for several years, but it is only now that we’re really seeing it enter the mainstream. Smart rings have a range of cool features, such as smart locks that mean you can use them to access your car, panic buttons as well as biometric data such as your daily steps and calories burnt.

The latest smart rings are also teaming up with another form of cutting-edge technology, contactless payments, allowing user to make quick and easy payments while shopping.

Medical Wearables

Medical wearables are another example of wearable technology that is helping to keep us healthy, and part of a wider trend of high-tech healthcare. These wearable gadgets monitor the user’s vital signs and collect highly-accurate health data.

In some cases, they even connect remotely to the user’s doctor, allowing them to monitor their health and help them to manage chronic illnesses and temporary conditions. This is extremely useful for patients in remote areas, or while under isolation.

As women are having a greater impact in the tech industry, it is perhaps not surprising to see this reflected in the new types of products that are being developed. One of these is arguably wearables for mental health and wellbeing, an area which is dominated by female leadership. Devices containing meditation apps and other features that promote mental health and wellbeing is one example.
