Astronaut Leland Melvin Will Teach Your Child All About Space via Livestream

Are you ready to amp up your child’s STEM curriculum? Or maybe you want to learn more yourself? There’s no better way to learn about space than from someone who’s actually been there. Today at 3:30 EST, Leland Melvin, former astronaut (and Summer 2019 Innovation & Tech Today cover star!) will be livestreaming a special space-focused class in collaboration with Varsity Tutors.

Register for Leland Melvin’s class here!

Melvin will be focusing on why space exploration matters and how it impacts our daily lives. These classes are part of Varsity Tutor’s Virtual School Day initiative, a free remote learning program that includes live, online classes intended to help parents fill their kid’s day with enriched learning and to help keep students from sliding academically during COVID-19 school cancellations.

In addition to Leland Melvin, Virtual School Day will also have classes with PhD scientist and Big Bang Theory star Mayim Bialik, Dancing with the Stars 2x champion Julianne Hough, and Olympic Gold Medalist Aly Raisman.

Just because we are staying inside doesn’t mean we can’t still dream about galaxies beyond. Register for Virtual School Day here to tune into Melvin’s course and many others.
