The Green Sports Alliance Summit will be held in Seattle from June 26th to 28th. The summit is being hosted at the Climate Pledge Arena in partnership with Oak View Group.
The annual Green Sports Alliance Summit is the largest and most influential gathering for the sports community to unite around sustainability. The event brings together hundreds of industry stakeholders to learn and share best practices and the latest innovations in greening operations, advancing sustainable supply chains and engaging fans in environmental awareness.
The sports industry is uniquely positioned to make a large-scale impact on the most pressing environmental problems our world faces, by decreasing the carbon footprint of many of our largest public spaces and mobilizing communities to take action. The Summit seeks to highlight best practices for enhancing performance and fostering a dialogue with stakeholders and fans about environmental stewardship and social justice.
The 11th Annual 2023 Green Sports Alliance Summit, “Play to Zero” will bring together leaders in sports and sustainability, along with sustainability leaders from other industries and sectors to facilitate the exchange of ideas and best-in-class solutions and innovations for the next decade.
The summit will also feature prestigious sports greening awards such as the Environmental Leadership Award which is given to an individual or organization who has demonstrated extraordinary leadership towards sustainability, environmental stewardship, and community engagement. The 2022 award winner was Timothy Leiweke who led a transformative role in the development of Climate Pledge Arena with a sense of urgency and a commitment to net-zero.
This year’s summit promises to be an exciting and enlightening event for industry leaders committed to advancing sustainability in sports.
