Google Invests in Connectivity With Japan
Google announced a $1 billion investment to enhance digital connectivity between the U.S. and Japan through the installation of two new subsea cables, as confirmed by the firm on Wednesday during a visit by the Japanese prime minister aimed at strengthening bilateral relations.
These two subsea cables, named Proa and Taihei, are designed to bolster connectivity not only between the U.S. and Japan but also among various Pacific island countries and territories, Google stated in a blog post. Both nations also intend to contribute funds to support the provision of subsea cables in the Pacific region.
ASUS Releases New Laptop Models
ASUS has introduced two fresh laptop variants: the Asus Vivobook S series and the Zenbook 14 OLED (UM3406). These laptops feature OLED displays and are powered by cutting-edge AMD and Intel processors.

AT&T Begins Investigation of Customer Data Leak
AT&T has initiated an inquiry into the origin of a tech data breach encompassing the personal details of 73 million existing and former customers.
In a press release, the telecommunications giant disclosed that the data had surfaced “approximately two weeks ago” on the dark web and includes sensitive information such as Social Security numbers of account holders.
