Stars, Superheroes, and Science at Denver Comic Con 2018

Denver Comic Con 2018 (DCC) is in its 6th year of celebrating everything pop culture and the lineup of celebrities, artists, and authors looks to be their best yet. The three-day convention starts Friday, June 15th, with events, signings, photo ops, and presentations continuing through Sunday, June 17th. The schedule is jam-packed with activities for super fans of every age. The Celebrity Summit will be teeming with talent while Artist Valley will be filled to capacity with over 400 creators and exhibitors. However you plan to spend your time at the Mile High City’s largest gathering of comic creators, celebs, and cosplayers, here’s a snapshot into what you can expect from the hottest names and most anticipated panels coming to DCC in 2018.

The Colorado Convention Center will be glittering with stars as celebrities from Netflix’s Stranger Things, AMC’s The Walking Dead, HBO’s Game of Thrones, and the silver screen’s Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2 will be signing autographs and taking pictures with their biggest fans. Guests can expect to see long lines for big personalities such as Jason Momoa, Pom Klementieff, and Ron Perlman, while comic fans may prefer some one-on-one with artists like Frank Miller, Jim Davis, or Jody Houser. If you’re a fan of the literary world this event has you covered with appearances and signings by more than 50 acclaimed authors.

More interested in substance than glitz and glamour? You’ll love the myriad of panels, presentations, and Q&A’s scheduled for the weekend. As the event is a program of the nonprofit group Pop Culture Classroom, DCC is loaded with family-friendly discussions. Attendees can choose from sessions covering topics such as: teaching STEM with comics, reverse engineering alien crafts, race and gender in pop culture, 90’s Nicktoons nostalgia, extreme NASA scientists, and everything in between. Whether you’re looking forward to dressing up as your favorite superhero, nerding out with NASA, or catching a Q&A on Monster Squad, the Denver Comic Con 2018 is sure to please.
