Smoke Alarms Sound at Space Station

The International Space Station had a panic this morning when smoke alarms went off on the Russian segment, according to a report from the Associated Press. The crew reportedly noticed smoke and smelled burnt plastic. The incident reportedly occurred as batteries were charging for a Russian-built Zvezda module. The crew is continuing on its scheduled space walk today.

New iPhone May Have More Colors, Less Storage Options

MacRumors is reporting news on the upcoming iPhone 13. Apparently, a Ukranian e-commerce website revealed the configuration options. They reported the iPhone 13 will offer fewer storage options, but a new pink color will be available. Also, the iPhone Pro model will be adding black and bronze as color options.

Tesla is Now China’s Most Subsidized EV Maker

Tesla received enough money from China in 2020 for electric car subsidies to make it the most subsidized maker in that nation. Teslarati is reporting the company received $325 million USD in total subsidies for 2020. Approximately 68% of the 101,000 Tesla’s sold in China that year were granted subsidies.

Windows 11 May Actually Speed Your Computer Up

New developments in how Windows 11 handles multiple programs and a variety of other issues, could lead to faster speeds from your existing computer. PC World said Microsoft introduced a process called foreground prioritization, which will allocate extra power to the apps you’re actively using. As a result, your machine may indeed feel faster on Windows 11.
