Does Google Have a Privacy-Friendly for Cookies?

Google is reporting test results of their potential cookie replacement are showing promise. The new option would be more cognizant of privacy risks, and combat that by targeting ads to groups of people, instead of individuals. Google says current testing shows advertisements to be 95% as likely to convert over to sales.

Covid-Sniffing Dogs Working Security at Miami Heat Games

In an effort to get fans back in seats, the Miami Heat has enlisted an interesting new team: Covid-19 sniffing dogs. The dogs have reportedly worked some games already as they tested the process on the friends and family of players and staff. The hope is that the program will allow fans to again fill the seats at AmericanAirlines Arena. The team also has an option for people who are allergic to or have a fear of dogs.

Brazilian Covid Mutation Found in Minnesota

A highly-contagious Covid-19 mutation originating in Brazil has been found in Minnesota, according to reports. The single patient had recently traveled to Brazil and was diagnosed during the first week of January. This strain, known as P.1, has been of particular concern to US health officials due to its high communicability.

YouTube vets the Slo Mo Guys have a cool trick this weak. The duo takes an ultrasonic homogenizer and use it to demolish various objects in extreme slow motion. At frame rates into the hundreds of thousands of frames per second, they break up a 1-second test into thousands of slow motion images.

Twitter has acquired popular newsletter platform Revue

Revue is a Dutch startup company that has a platform which allows users to create and send their own email newsletters. The platform os also available to publishers from all venues as a potential new revenue stream. It gives a single platform to manage multiple newsletters on a variety of topics, while also allowing for monetization.
